Financial Advice in the UK has a bad reputation, in fact if you try to find out what it is the standard response is that it's all about flogging a product, taking a fat wad of commission and then nothing until you are left with a poorly performing investment.
What is so frustrating is that there are still trade bodies that still think this way when actually the industry has moved on. What I am going to do is demystify the industry and explain why people should consider going to a financial adviser.
To get you thinking - financial advice is not about selling products, it is about financial planning.Financial planning is about setting goals and looking at solutions to deliver these.
